Calm is a Super Power
Did you know keeping calm is actually a super power? Not everything deserves our reaction. Sometimes just staying calm in situations is the best thing to do. We tend to overreact when under pressure leading to making rush or irrational decisions. Most fights actually happen because of overreacting. Stress and anxiety also leads to overreacting. The list is endless. We have created a list of things that you can do inorder to stay calm. Whenever your find yourself in a situation or perhaps you have nger issues, here is some of the things you can do to help you stay calm and own the moment.
Whenever you find yourself in a situation where you are about to snap, argue or fight. Take a moment to breathe. Take a deep breathe. That will help you calm your nerves, reduce your heart rate and look at the situation differently. Breathing is one of the most effective techniques for reducing anger and anxiety. Always remember to breathe.
- Leave the room or go for a walk
Now whatever that caused you to get angry or upset is very close to you, anxiousness may cause you to overreact and make irrational decisions. How about taking a walk or leaving the room or dropping the call before saying things that you will regret later. I always find it so soothing to leave the situation. I tend to deal with the anger away from the subject. It helps me stay on top of my emotions. I suggest you try this next time you find yourself in a situation that challenges your calmness..
- Stay positive
Life is much more easier when you focus on the positives. If you find your self in a situation that makes you experience negative emotions, rather focus on the positive ones. Fight within yourself to stay on top of the way you feel. Think about the outcome based on your reactions. If you react badly, the outcome will not be in your favor, it will actually get worse. However, if you focus on staying positive or switching to positivity, you will see yourself walking away from that situation with.
