Carrera T – The Newest Member Of The Porsche 911 Family

The Porsche Carrera T  is the newest member of the Porsche 911 family. Is an upgrade to the entry-level model with performance parts for buyers who want something fun to drive but don’t need the fastest machine in the range.

Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 lineup expands for the 2023 model year as the automaker unveils the new 911 Carrera T. Described as a light and fun touring variant, the model sits between the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S. It features a Biturbo 3.0- liter six-cylinder engine that develops 384 hp 448 Nm of torque.
While the engine is carried over from the 911 Carrera, the 911 T gains less weight as it features reduced sound insulation, a seven-speed manual, and no rear seats. The weight-saving measures don’t end there as the designers have equipped the car with thinner glass and a smaller, more compact battery. Thanks to the changes, the model tips the scale at 1,476 kg, which is 45 kg less than the PDK-equipped 911 Carrera.

The emphasis on performance is evident elsewhere as the 911 T comes standard with the PASM sports suspension which lowers the ride height by 10mm. The model also boasts the Sport Chrono Package, a sports exhaust system and a limited-slip differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring. In terms of performance, the 911 T accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 291 km/h. Customers can also get an eight-speed PDK transmission at no cost and it cuts the sprint down to four seconds.

The biggest changes are in the interior

Up front, there’s nothing to report as the model gets Agate Gray accents as well as Titanium Gray Carrera S wheels measuring 20 inches up front and 21 inches out back. Bigger changes take place inside the cabin as buyers will find a GT Sport steering wheel, four-way Sport Plus seats and dark gray accents, as well as matte black and gloss black trim. A range of options will be available and customers will be able to get rear seats at no extra cost. Porsche will also offer a Carrera T interior package, which adds Slate Gray or Lizard Green seat belts, as well as seat stripes and contrast stitching. The package also includes matching floor mats and 911 logos on the headrests.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T will go on sale in February 2023, and the price starts at 123,845 euros.
